The Girona Art Museum houses a collection of significant art pieces in the province.

Situated in the old Episcopal Palace, it ranks among the iconic structures in the historic center, recognized as a Historic-Artistic Complex. The site features prison spaces where clergymen were imprisoned, alongside gardens accessible during different seasons.

During your visit, you can view chronological displays of artworks and sculptures from various styles and centuries. A room is dedicated to liturgical art, including pottery and glass.

The permanent collection features pieces from the Diocese of Girona, the Provincial Council, and the Generalitat de Cataluña art funds, showcasing Romanesque and Gothic art collections, including the altarpieces of Pubol and Cruïlles, and Renaissance works attributed to Joan de Burguña and Pere Mates. Additionally, it includes Catalan painting and sculpture from the 19th and 20th centuries, by artists such as Miquel Blay, Vayreda brothers, and others.
