The Girona Art Museum houses a collection of significant art pieces in the province, located in the old Episcopal Palace, a historic building in the old town designated as a Historic-Artistic Complex. The museum also features prison spaces used by condemned clergymen and has seasonal gardens.

Visitors can explore picturesque works of art and sculptures spanning different styles and centuries, including a room dedicated to liturgical art comprising pottery and glass.

The permanent collection includes works from the Diocese of Girona, Provincial Council, and Generalitat de Cataluña art funds, showcasing Romanesque and Gothic art collections, including the altarpieces of Pubol and Cruïlles, as well as Renaissance pieces attributed to Joan de Burguña and Pere Mates.
