Isle of Skye & Highlands Tour: 3 Days

Day 1: Glasgow - Lake Lomond - Glencoe - Fort William - Isle of Skye

We'll depart from Glasgow heading northwest towards the village of Luss, located on the banks of Loch Lomond. Next, we will travel through Tyndrum and Rannoch Moor to Glen Coe Valley, site of the 1692 Macdonald Clan massacre. We will stop in Fort William for lunch and photo opportunities of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. Afterwards, we will view Glen Garry and the Five Sisters of Kintail mountain range. The day will end in Portree, Isle of Skye, where we will check into accommodation.

Day 2: Isle of Skye (Cuillin Mountains – Dunvegan – Kilt Rock)

After breakfast, we will depart Portree to explore the Isle of Skye. Options include visiting Dunvegan Castle, Uig, Flora MacDonald’s grave, and the Black Houses. We will continue to Duntulm Castle and take photos of Kilt Rock, then walk to Lealt Falls. This day will conclude with a visit to the Old Man of Storr before returning to Portree.

Day 3: Eilean Donan – Loch Ness – Inverness – Pitlochry - Glasgow

On our return, we will see Eilean Donan Castle, a backdrop for ‘Highlander.’ After lunch in Fort Augustus with views of Loch Ness, we will proceed over Laggan and the Grampian mountains, stopping for refreshments in Pitlochry before finishing in Edinburgh. Your guide will lead you to Edinburgh Waverley railway station for the 50-minute train journey back to Glasgow.

Important Information

The tour will end in Edinburgh. Your guide will take you to Edinburgh Waverley railway station for the return to Glasgow.Please dress appropriately as the activity operates in all weather conditions.Luggage is restricted to one piece per person.Dunvegan Castle and Eilean Donan Castle are optional extras, with payment on the day.
