Embark on an insightful day trip to the Basilica and Church of the Divine Eternal Father located in the beautiful state of Goiás, where we will explore two of the major religious sites in Goiânia. This journey will unveil the ties these temples have with the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, revealing thought-provoking aspects of their heritage.

Description

The town of Trinidade is home to the unique basilica dedicated to the Divine Eternal Father, offering an extraordinary temple and a rich narrative waiting to be uncovered. Our adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Goiânia, setting the stage for an exploration of these remarkable locations!

After a brief one-hour drive, we will arrive at the Mother Church of the Divine Eternal Father, a notable establishment by the Redemptorists opened in 1912.

Recognized as the oldest sanctuary in Trinidade, this site is characterized by a clock and bells brought from Germany. While touring the church, we will delve into the historical significance of the deep-rooted devotion to the Holy Trinity within this Brazilian region, which explains the existence of two sanctuaries devoted to the Eternal Father.

Next, we’ll visit the Basilica of the Divine Eternal Father, a title conferred during the papacy of Benedict XVI. Inside, we will appreciate stunning stained glass windows as well as sacred art while learning about the various renovations that have transformed this historical monument.

After an educational and enriching tour of both sites, we will return you to your hotel in Goiânia, concluding our excursion 4 hours after the start.
