European settlers left an undeniable mark on southern Brazil. Discover it on this tour of Italian immigration in Grammado and Linha Nova, where we'll also enjoy a tasty lunch.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Gramada onboard a jardineira. We'll begin to tour the city in search of the legacy of Italian immigration.
We'll first make our way towards the Família Masotti Winery to visit their vineyards and facilities and taste some of their wines, learning about their aroma, flavour, and colour.
The next stop will be the Velho Casarão Farm, where we'll see a presentation dedicated to Vicenzo Marcon, a pioneer of Italian immigration in southern Brazil.
We'll continue to the Cavichion Mill, originally used by German and Italian settlers in the 20th century. After learning about its history, we'll visit the Linha Bella Cantina, an Italian restaurant, where we'll enjoy a typical buffet lunch featuring dishes made in a woodfire oven.
After lunch, we'll drive for an hour to Linha Nova. We will visit the first butcher and slaughterhouse in the region and the city's first market, continuing to explore the Italian legacy in southern Brazil.
Finally, we'll return to the hotels in Gramado, where we'll arrive after approximately 6 hours together.
