European influences have significantly shaped southern Brazil. Experience this impact on our tour focused on Italian immigration through Gramado and Linha Nova, which also includes a delightful lunch.
Description
At the designated time, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Gramado using a jardineira, a traditional Brazilian bus. Our journey begins with an exploration of the city, tracing the footprints of Italian immigrants.
Our first destination will be the Família Masotti Winery, where we'll explore their vineyards and production facilities. This visit will include a tasting of their wines, providing insights into their distinct aromas, flavors, and colors.
Next, we will proceed to the Velho Casarão Farm. Here, managed by descendants of European settlers, we will encounter a presentation dedicated to Vicenzo Marcon, recognized as one of the early figures of Italian settlement in southern Brazil.
Continuing our exploration, we'll visit the Cavichion Mill, originally established by German and Italian settlers in the 20th century. After delving into its history, we will head to the Linha Bella Cantina, a charming Italian eatery where we will savor a traditional buffet lunch, featuring various dishes roasted in a wood-fired oven.
Following our meal, we will depart Gramado and travel for approximately an hour to reach Linha Nova. In this municipality of Río Grande do Sul, we will delve deeper into the Italian heritage of southern Brazil. Our visit will include the first butcher and slaughterhouse in the area, operated by settlers, and a look at the town's inaugural market.
Our day will conclude with our return to your hotels in Gramado, wrapping up approximately 6 hours of exploration together.
