On this Italian immigration tour of Gramado, we'll explore the cultural heritage of the Italian settlers in the region.
Italian Culture Tour
We will meet at Praça das Etnias and board a jardineira, a traditional Brazilian bus. The tour will focus on the traditions brought by Italian immigrants from Europe.
Our first stop is Casa Centenária, a wooden cottage showcasing the history of the Italian immigrants. We will then visit Ervateira Marcon, where a local will demonstrate the process of making mate herbs.
Next, we will go to the Fioreze Museum to meet its owner, Mr. Nelson Fioreze, who will present his collection of antique objects.
We will conclude the tour at Caffé Della Nonna, where we will enjoy a snack with typical delicacies such as fresh homemade bread, butter, fruit jam, and cheese, along with drinks like coffee, tea, juices, and wine. The snack will be accompanied by live traditional music from the region.
The tour will last four hours before returning to the meeting point.
