On this Italian immigration tour of Gramado, we'll immerse ourselves in the cultural heritage of the Italian settlers.
Italian Culture Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Praça das Etnias and board a jardineira, a traditional Brazilian bus. We'll learn about the traditions brought by Italian immigrants from Europe.
Our first stop will be at the Casa Centenária, a wooden cottage showcasing important history of the Italian immigrants. Next, we'll visit Ervateira Marcon, where a resident of Gramado will demonstrate the preparation of mate herbs.
We'll then proceed to the Fioreze Museum, where Mr. Nelson Fioreze will present his collection of antique objects.
The tour concludes at Caffé Della Nonna, the Foss family's establishment, where we will enjoy a snack with typical delicacies such as fresh homemade bread, butter, fruit jam, cheese, and beverages like coffee, tea, juices, and wine. This afternoon snack will be accompanied by live traditional music from the region.
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point four hours after the start of the tour.
