Quilombo Valley Tour

On this tour, we will explore the traditions and culture of the Quilombo Valley, visiting Italian and German families and tasting regional products.

At the scheduled time, we will depart from Praça das Etnias and begin our journey through the history and colonial-era traditions of the Quilombo Valley, immersing ourselves in Brazilian nature, culture, and flavors within a single day.

The tour begins on a jardineira, a typical Brazilian bus, heading to the first stop: the Marcon family's house. Vicente and Fatima, the hosts, will share the story of their Italian ancestors who immigrated to Brazil, their agricultural tools, and we will taste products like grape juice, bread, and jams.

Next, we will visit Alambique dos Rossas, where Romeu Rossa will demonstrate the production of cachaça, a traditional Brazilian drink, from sugar cane and we will have the opportunity to taste it.

The last stop will be at the Baretta family's century-old half-timbered house. Jovani Baretta will provide a snack, and we will enjoy live traditional music and participate in dances, including the kerb, a traditional dance to celebrate the harvest.

After the snack, we will return to the starting point, arriving four hours after the start.
