Quilombo Valley Tour

On this tour, we will explore the Quilombo Valley, engaging with Italian and German families and sampling regional products.

Our journey begins at the scheduled time from Praça das Etnias, where we will embark on the history and traditions of the Quilombo Valley, experiencing Brazilian nature and culture in one day.

We will board a jardineira, a typical Brazilian bus, to reach our first stop: the Marcon family's house. Hosts Vicente and Fatima will share their family history, highlighting the tools used by their Italian ancestors for corn and livestock farming. We will also taste their homemade products, including grape juice, bread, and jams.

Next, we'll visit Alambique dos Rossas, where owner Romeu Rossa will demonstrate the family business of cachaça production, showing us the entire process from sugar cane to the final product, with tastings included.

The final stop will be at the Baretta family's property, a century-old half-timbered German house. Jovani Baretta will provide a snack, and we will enjoy live traditional music and dances, including the participatory kerb dance, which celebrates the harvest.

After the snack, we will return to the starting point, completing the tour four hours after it commenced.
