Quilombo Valley Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll leave from Praça das Etnias and embark on a journey through the history and colonial-era traditions of the Quilombo Valley. This tour offers an immersion in Brazilian nature, culture, and flavors in one day.
The route begins with a ride in a jardineira, a typical Brazilian bus, taking us to the first stop: the Marcon family's house. Here, hosts Vicente and Fatima will share their Italian ancestors story and the tools used for their corn crops and livestock. We will also taste their homemade products, including grape juice, bread, and jams.
Next, we visit the Alambique dos Rossas, where owner Romeu Rossa will explain the family process for producing cachaça. We will witness the elaboration of this typical Brazilian drink and sample it.
The last stop features the Baretta family property, a century-old half-timbered house. Here, Jovani Baretta will provide a snack and we will enjoy live traditional music and witness dances, including the kerb dance, celebrating the harvest.
After the snack, we will return to the starting point, arriving four hours after departure.
