Antequera Day Trip
The tour departs from Granada heading west towards the province of Malaga, passing the Peña de Los Enamorados, a notable hill in Andalusia.
The first stop is at the Archaeological Site of the Dolmens of Antequera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located just 10 minutes away. This important megalithic site provides insights into the Neolithic prehistoric society that inhabited the region thousands of years ago.
Next, the tour visits Antequera's historic centre, featuring main monuments such as the Alcazaba and the Santa María La Mayor Collegiate church, a Renaissance landmark. After exploring the old town, there will be some free time.
At the agreed time, the group will proceed to the Torcal de Antequera, a karst landscape known for its distinct geological formations dating back to the Jurassic period. Following the visit to El Torcal, the tour will conclude with a return to Granada.
