The Dolmens and the Torcal are two significant locations within the municipality of Malaga, discover them with this Antequera Day Trip from Granada.

Antequera Day Trip

We will depart from Granada heading west towards the nearby province of Malaga. Before reaching our destination, we will pass by the Peña de Los Enamorados, a notable hill in Andalusia.

Our first stop will be at the Archaeological Site of the Dolmens of Antequera, just 10 minutes away. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most important megalithic sites in southern Spain, where we will learn about the prehistoric Neolithic society that inhabited these lands thousands of years ago.

The tour will proceed to Antequera's historic centre. Key monuments include the Alcazaba and the Santa María La Mayor Collegiate church, notable examples of Renaissance architecture. After exploring the old town, there will be a few minutes of free time.

At the agreed time, we will gather again to visit the Torcal de Antequera, a karst landscape known for its unique geological formations that date back to the Jurassic period. Following the visit to El Torcal, we will return to Granada.
