Explore the most important Al-Andalus province with this Cordoba Day Trip. Discover flower-filled courtyards, Muslim arches, and the mythical Mosque-Cathedral.
Cordoba Day Trip
We'll meet at 9 am in the Plaza de las Descalzas and travel to Cordoba, located two and a half hours from Granada.
From the city of the Alhambra to the city of the Mosque. Upon arrival in Cordoba, we will explore the narrow streets of its historical center, experiencing the city's Muslim past through its arches and tiles.
Small shops, busy squares, Jewish and Roman heritage... During the walk, we'll discuss the city's significant history and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Did you know that the old city has four UNESCO-designated locations?
The highlight of the day will be the Mosque-Cathedral, the city's most iconic structure. We will observe the cultural contrasts within as we explore the legacy of the Visigoths, Muslims, and Christians, including the renowned red and white arches of what once was the largest mosque in the world and the embedded Christian cathedral within the Muslim prayer hall.
Next, we will visit the Jewish quarter, known as one of the most picturesque areas in Spain. Its narrow streets, adorned with pots, lead to significant sites such as the Souk, the Synagogue, and the House of Sepharad.
After visiting the essential sites, we will return to Granada, concluding the tour between 4 and 5 pm at the Plaza de Mariana Pineda.
