Explore the most important Al-Andalus province with this Cordoba Day Trip. Discover flower-filled courtyards, Muslim arches, and the mythical Mosque-Cathedral.
Cordoba Day Trip
We'll meet at 9 am in the Plaza de las Descalzas and travel to Cordoba, located two and a half hours from Granada.
From the city of the Alhambra to the city of the Mosque. Upon arrival in Cordoba, we'll explore the narrow streets of its historical center. As we walk through the arches and tiles decorating the facades, we'll relive the city's Muslim past.
Small shops, busy squares, Jewish and Roman heritage... During the tour, we'll discover stories that have influenced the city, including the fact that the old city of Cordoba has four UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The highlight of the day will be the Mosque-Cathedral, the city's most symbolic building. You'll encounter cultural contrasts within its walls, exploring the legacies of the Visigoths, Muslims, and Christians. The tour includes the mythical red and white arches of what was formerly the largest mosque in the world, along with the Christian cathedral situated within the Muslim prayer hall.
We will further explore Cordoba's history by visiting the Jewish quarter, known for its beauty and narrow streets adorned with pots, leading to significant sites such as the Souk, the Synagogue, and the House of Sepharad.
The tour concludes with our return to Granada, ending between 4 and 5 pm in the Plaza de Mariana Pineda.
