Experiencing the art of flamenco is essential during any trip to Granada. Enjoy a performance of Andalusian culture in a traditional cave in Sacromonte.

Flamenco in Sacromonte: what to expect?

The Los Tarantos caves provide an opportunity to explore the history of Granada's culture. Founded in 1972, they are recognized for flamenco zambra shows, showcasing the quality of their performances.

Located in the Sacromonte neighborhood, Los Tarantos is where Granada's first gypsy and Jewish communities settled. Notable artists like Vitorino de Pinos, Guzán Albea, Julio Terremoto, La Coneja, Bienvenido Amaya, Antonio El chispita, and Paquito Amaya have performed here.

This venue has also been a launching pad for various flamenco artists to build their careers.

Gypsy Zamba at Los Tarantos

The flamenco show at Los Tarantos Caves offers a deep dive into an art form recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2010.

In a one-hour performance, you will experience the authentic gypsy zambra, a unique flamenco style originating in Granada. Despite its mixed cultural history, the gypsy zambra is best enjoyed in Sacromonte.

The show includes a talented cuadro flamenco, featuring many acclaimed flamenco artists from Granada. Each performance is a display of their dedication and artistry.
