This hike, known as the Gollizno Route Trail, will allow you to discover an incredible natural landscape in the province of Granada packed with history.
Gollizno Hike
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Plaza del Profesor Fontboté square. There we'll get into a minibus and drive for about 20 minutes until we reach our destination.
Upon arrival, we'll enter the Tajos de la Hoz, a natural gorge excavated by the constant flow of the water. We'll cross a small asphalt road towards the Velillos River, where we'll have the opportunity to walk through a natural landscape along the river path.
We will cross a suspension bridge offering views of the surrounding area and then continue the route towards Moclín, which houses one of the most impressive defensive structures of the Nasrid era, the Castle of Moclín. After crossing the suspension bridge and the footbridges over the Velillos River, we will arrive at the Fuente de Corcuela. Very close to this site, we'll see some cave paintings from thousands of years ago.
Finally, we'll get back into the vehicle and return to the starting point in Granada, arriving at 1 pm.
