Granada Cármenes Tour
Our Granada Cármenes Tour offers insight into local culture in Granada. The tour begins at 10 am on Paseo del Generalife and lasts 2 hours, during which we will visit three manors known as cármenes.
The first stop is the Carmen of Martyrs, a 19th-century manor at the foot of the Alhambra, featuring a baroque garden and sculptures. We will also see the English Orchard with swans in the pond and explore the Nasrid courtyard.
Next, we will move to the Albaicín neighbourhood, entering two additional manors while admiring symbolic buildings such as the Carmen of Our Lady of Angustias and the Carmen of Three Stars, showcasing Arab-influenced architecture.
Then, we will visit the Carmen of Victoria, notable for its water features, followed by the Carmen of Max Moreau, where we will learn about the Belgian painter who cherished Granada.
The tour concludes at Plaza Nueva at 12 noon.
Important
The Carmen of Victoria has limited capacity. If it cannot be visited, we will substitute with the Palacio de los Córdova and the Archaeological Museum (Casa de Hernándo de Zafra).
