Discover the history of the capital of Nicaragua on this tour of Managua, including a typical Nicaraguan meal.
Description
At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your hotel to begin this tour of the capital of Nicaragua. Once in the city center, we will explore main points of interest such as Tiscapa Hill, where we will learn about Somoza's regime and enjoy views of the city and Xolotlán Lake.
We will pass by the National Palace, which houses the National Archive, National Library, and National Museum.
Next, we will visit Plaza de la Revolución Square, home to the old Managua Cathedral built in neoclassical style, inspired by Saint-Sulpice in Paris. We will then proceed to the Salvador Allende harbour at the Malecón, an area with restaurants overlooking Xolotlán Lake.
Lastly, we will enjoy a traditional Nicaraguan meal. After approximately 5 hours of touring, we will return to the hotels, concluding the tour after about 6 to 7 hours together.
