Day Trip Overview

We'll commence our journey from Plaza de Mariana Pineda in Granada, heading towards the stunning Sierra Nevada National Park, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes within the Betic Cordilleras.

During our excursion, we'll pass notable landmarks including the Roman gold mine at Cenes de la Vega, the Camino de los Neveros, the scenic banks of the river Genil, and the incredible gorge at Los Cahorros of the Monachil river. After exploring these key sites, we will reach the National Park, which spans the provinces of Granada and Almeria.

Upon arrival, an engaging tour of Sierra Nevada awaits us, blending scenic walks and rides in an offroad vehicle. From various vantage points, we'll take in the vastness of the mountain range, spotlighting significant heights like the Mulhacén and Veleta peaks. There's also a chance to touch the snow at an elevation of nearly 2,500 meters (8,202 feet). Furthermore, a panoramic restaurant will be our stop to enjoy a refreshment while relishing the stunning vistas.

Along the way, we will delve into the diverse flora and fauna of this designatedBiosphere Reserve, celebrated for its rich biodiversity. The picturesque scenery of Sierra Nevada has inspired numerous TV productions, films, and commercials. After the tour, you will enjoy approximately 2 hours of leisure in the Sierra Nevada ski resort, perfect for unwinding or taking in the breathtaking surroundings.

We will then conclude our 7-hour journey with a return to the original meeting point in Granada.
