Day Trip Overview

We'll set off from Plaza de Mariana Pineda in Granada at the scheduled time, heading towards the remarkable Sierra Nevada National Park, a gem located within the Betic Cordilleras.

Our journey will take us past significant landmarks, including the Roman gold mines at Cenes de la Vega, the historic Camino de los Neveros, the banks along the river Genil, and the breathtaking gorge of Los Cahorros in Monachil River. Upon visiting these sites, we will enter the National Park, which spans the provinces of Granada and Almería.

Upon our arrival, we will embark on a comprehensive tour of Sierra Nevada, blending both hiking and excursions in a rugged vehicle. We'll have the chance to witness the dramatic heights of the mountain range, including Mulhacén and Veleta, and we'll even have an opportunity to touch the snow at nearly 2,500 meters (8,202 feet). Additionally, we will pause at a panoramic restaurant to enjoy a drink while admiring the stunning vistas.

Throughout our expedition, you will gain insight into the unique flora and fauna of this biosphere reserve, celebrated for its diverse ecosystems. The Sierra Nevada’s vistas have inspired numerous TV series, films, and commercials. Are you familiar with the fascinating myths and legends connected to these peaks?

After our exploration, you will have 2 hours of leisure time in the Sierra Nevada ski resort, perfect for unwinding or taking in the breathtaking surroundings.

We will conclude our enriching 7-hour journey by returning to our original meeting point in Granada.
