On this catamaran trip to Gabriel Island, you'll experience the natural beauty of Grand Baie, characterized by sandy beaches and turquoise waters.

Activity Details

We will meet at Royal Road and head to the pier to board the catamaran for our journey to the northern islands.

During the 1.5-hour sail through the turquoise waters of northern Mauritius, we'll admire the coastline with its colourful houses and coral beaches. This area is known for its photogenic qualities due to the varying shades of blue as the day progresses.

We will see Coin de Mire, also called Gunner's Quoin, a rocky islet with a distinctive shape that rises from the ocean like a fortress, home to endemic birds like the Mauritius petrel and the brown booby.

Upon arrival at Gabriel Island, you will have one hour of free time to explore, snorkel, swim, or relax. This islet is part of a nature reserve protecting one of the purest marine ecosystems in the Indian Ocean.

After one hour, we will enjoy a lunch on board, featuring grilled fresh fish, chicken, salads, and vegetarian options. Drinks will be available in a relaxed atmosphere. After 1.5 hours of rest, we will start our journey back to Grand Baie, taking in more views of the north coast of Mauritius.

In total, this activity lasts 6 to 7 hours, concluding back at the initial meeting point.
