At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to start this guided tour of Mahébourg. You will explore its cultural and historical heritage.

First, we'll visit the National Museum of History of Mahébourg to learn about the maritime past of the region and the conflicts between the French and the British in the 19th century. The museum is housed in a colonial building that dates back to 1772.

Next, we'll head to the Waterfront, Mahébourg's promenade, where we'll enjoy views of the surroundings while discussing the Battle of the Grand Harbour and local life.

Nearby is the central market of Mahébourg, bustling with fruits, handicrafts, musical instruments, and textiles made on the island.

We will then visit the Rault biscuit factory, known for its famous Mauritian cassava cookies made since 1870. The recipe has been kept secret for four generations. Our tour will last around one hour and include fascinating insights about the pastries.
