Bethany & Dead Sea Tour

Visit Bethany beyond Jordan, the place where Jesus of Nazareth was baptised, and bathe in the Dead Sea on this unforgettable tour from Amman!

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Amman and set off in the direction of Bethany, located on the banks of the Jordan River. This pilgrimage destination is home to several churches from different branches of Christianity and is known as Jordan beyond the River, where John the Baptist baptised Jesus Christ.

We'll spend an hour visiting the archaeological ruins of the historic Byzantine churches, including the exact spot where Jesus of Nazareth was baptised. You'll also have the opportunity to touch the waters of the Jordan River.

Continuing our day trip, we'll proceed to the Dead Sea, located more than 1,400 feet (430 metres) below sea level. Here, you'll have 2 hours of free time to bathe in the lake and experience its high salt concentrations.

Finally, our private tour will conclude with a drop-off at your hotel in Amman after between 6 and 7 hours of exploring.
