Bethany & Dead Sea Tour

Visit Bethany beyond Jordan, the place where Jesus of Nazareth was baptised, and bathe in the Dead Sea on this unforgettable tour from Amman!

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Amman and set off towards Bethany, located on the banks of the Jordan River. This pilgrimage site, known as Jordan beyond the River, is where John the Baptist baptised Jesus Christ.

We'll spend an hour visiting the archaeological ruins of the historic Byzantine churches and see the exact spot where Jesus was baptised. You will also have an opportunity to touch the waters of the Jordan River.

Afterwards, we will travel to the Dead Sea, situated more than 1,400 feet (430 metres) below sea level. Here, you'll have 2 hours of free time to bathe in the lake and experience the high salt concentrations that make it impossible to sink.

Finally, our tour will conclude with a drop-off at your hotel in Amman after approximately 6 to 7 hours of exploring.
