Desert Castles & Dead Sea Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Amman and drive to the east of Jordan to begin this special tour. We'll discover two emblematic desert castles built between the 7th and 11th centuries, used as defense hubs, caravanserais, and palaces.

First, we'll visit Harranah Castle, built by the Umayyad caliphs and a significant example of early Islamic architecture. We'll stroll through the courtyard while learning about the Roman, Byzantine, and Sassanid influences.

Next, we'll head to Amra Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside this medieval palace, you can see 8th-century fresco paintings depicting hunting scenes and zodiac schemes.

After the castle tours, we'll proceed to the Dead Sea, situated more than 400 meters below sea level. The high salt and mineral concentration in the water prevents life from developing in the lake.

You’ll have 2 hours of free time to swim in the Dead Sea and experience its cosmetic and medical benefits. Naturally, you will find it easy to float.

We'll conclude the tour between 9-9.5 hours and drop you off at your hotel in Amman.
