Visit the "Pompeii of Asia" on our day trip to Jerash and the medieval Aljoun Castle, including a swim in the Dead Sea.

Jerash, Aljoun Castle & Dead Sea Day Trip

Meeting point is the Landmark Amman Hotel at 7:30 am. We will depart Amman and head to Aljoun first.

At Aljoun, explore the fortress built by Muslims in the 12th century against the crusaders. You will have views over the region from the Aljoun Castle walls.

Next, we proceed to Jerash in northern Jordan, known as "the Pompeii of Asia" for its Roman ruins. We will visit key monuments, including the Triumphal Arch, the Oval Forum, the Colonnaded Street, the Temple of Aphrodite, and the Theatre, renowned for its acoustics.

You will have free time at a local restaurant for a traditional lunch.

After lunch, we will proceed to the Dead Sea, where you will have free time to enjoy the waters and experience floating due to high salt concentration. The mud at the Dead Sea is known for its healing properties.

We will conclude the trip with a return to Amman, arriving by 5 pm.
