Slum Tour of Dhavari

Discover the district of Dharavi, one of the largest slum areas in Asia, and witness the reality for many of India’s citizens.

Itinerary

The tour will start near Mahim Station. From there, we will head to Dharavi, known as the 'slum' or marginalized neighbourhood of Mumbai, famous for being the backdrop of the film Slumdog Millionaire.

The conditions of the inhabitants are tougher than what is shown in the movie. An English-speaking guide will provide insights into the history of this area during a tour that offers a broader perspective on the contrasting sides of Mumbai.

During the tour, you will meet some of the residents and have the chance to speak with them, gaining first-hand knowledge of their daily life. This experience is likely to leave a lasting impression.

Finally, we will return to the starting point in Mumbai.
