Slum Tour of Dhavari

Itinerary

We will begin the tour near Mahim Station and proceed to Dharavi, recognized as the 'slum' or marginalized neighborhood of Mumbai, where the film Slumdog Millionaire was filmed.

The conditions of the inhabitants are more challenging than depicted in the movie. An English-speaking guide will provide information about the area's history, offering a broader perspective on the contrasting aspects of Mumbai.

During the tour, participants will interact with some residents of the slum, providing an opportunity to understand their daily lives firsthand. This experience is impactful and thought-provoking.

At the conclusion of the tour, we will return to the starting point in Mumbai.
