Slum Tour of Dhavari

Discover the district of Dharavi, one of the largest slum areas in Asia, and witness the reality for many of India's citizens.

Itinerary

The tour starts near Mahim Station. From there, we will proceed to Dharavi, the marginalized neighbourhood of Mumbai featured in the film Slumdog Millionaire.

However, the conditions of the inhabitants are more challenging than portrayed in the movie. An English-speaking guide will provide insights into the history of this area, offering a broader perspective on the contrasting sides of Mumbai.

During the tour, you will engage with some residents of the slum and learn firsthand about their day-to-day life. This experience will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression.

Finally, we will return to the same point in Mumbai where the tour began.
