Slum Tour of Dhavari

Itinerary

The tour starts near Mahim Station. We proceed to Dharavi, a marginalized neighbourhood of Mumbai, notable for being the filming location of Slumdog Millionaire.

The conditions of the inhabitants are more challenging than depicted in the film. Our English-speaking guide will provide insights into the history of this area, offering a broader perspective on the contrasting sides of Mumbai.

Participants will meet some residents of the slum, allowing for direct interaction and understanding of their daily lives. This experience is impactful and memorable.

Finally, the tour concludes at the original meeting point in Mumbai.
