This is the essential tour for those that want to explore the historic temples of Mumbai and get closer to the spiritual side of the country.

Itinerary

The guide will be waiting for you at the Mahalakshmi temple, one of the most famous in Mumbai. Dedicated to the Goddess of Wealth, it was constructed in 1831 for a Hindu merchant. Its story is an introduction to this tour that highlights the importance of religions in India.

We will follow the streets through what was once 'old Bombay' until we reach the temple of Trimbakeswar, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the temple of Siddheswar.

The route will also take us to the Shree Swaminarayan temple, which is less touristic, making it ideal for meditation.

We will visit the Lord Hanuman and Shani temples, which are situated together, a fact our guide will explain.

Continuing along Warden Road, known as Breach Candy, this area in south Mumbai is significant in the spiritual and religious context of the city.

The next stop is the Kinara Masjid mosque, a key religious shrine in the city. The tour concludes at the Haji Ali Dargah, one of the most recognizable landmarks in Mumbai. This mosque and tomb is located on a tiny islet off the coast of Worli in south Mumbai, where devotees flock to honor the Muslim saint Haji Ali.
