At the selected time, we'll meet at the entrance of Gropparello Castle, the starting point of a nature trail leading to the Vezzeno Gorge, an incredible canyon formed by the Vezzeno stream.

We'll walk along ancient patrol paths from the castle's fortified walls to the cliff's base, where the Vezzeno stream flows. The guide will share details about this unique territory, characterized by ophiolite, which gives the landscape a distinct appearance.

In this area, we will visit the Museo della Rosa Nascente (Museum of the Rising Rose), which features 17 rose gardens. We will explore the connections among various local flora species, such as white privets, maritime pines, and imperial maples.

Afterward, we will proceed to the Limonaia, home to the Sala dei Fossili (Fossil Room), showcasing fossilized remains of animals and plants from the Upper Jurassic period.
