Ajijic + Lake Chapala Tour

Ajijic is a notable village in the state of Jalisco, and this tour includes exploration of Ajijic and a boat ride on Lake Chapala, the largest lake in Mexico.

Ajijic + Lake Chapala Tour

We will pick you up from the meeting point in Guadalajara at 10:30 am to begin the tour.

The first stop is the ranch of Vicente Fernandez, the renowned Mexican singer and actor.

The next visit will be to a tequila factory, where you will learn about the artisanal production process of this traditional Mexican drink. Tastings of tequila and other liquors will also be provided.

At 2 pm, you will have 1 hour of free time for lunch at a nearby restaurant. Following lunch, we will embark on a boat trip on Chapala Lake, where you may see wildlife such as pelicans, ducks, and herons.

After returning to shore, we will explore Ajijic, a designated Magic Town, once home to various European intellectuals. You will have the opportunity to see colorful murals, art galleries, and the St. Andrew Parish, an 18th-century structure.

The final stop will be the town of Chapala, where we will visit notable locations, including St. Francis Parish and the town square. This area was originally inhabited by Nahuatl tribes.

We will then return to Guadalajara, dropping you off at the initial meeting point by 7 pm.
