On this excursion to Tequila from Guadalajara, we'll visit this town surrounded by agave plantations and taste tequila.

Day Trip to Tequila

We will pick you up at your hotel in Guadalajara and head to Tequila. After an hour's drive, we'll reach the birthplace of tequila.

First, we'll explore the agave fields around Tequila, learning about the plant's cultivation and harvesting. We will also see the Tequila volcano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Next, we'll visit a tequila distillery, where we’ll learn about the history of tequila and its production stages, from agave harvesting to aging in oak barrels. The tour concludes with a tequila tasting of authentic Mexican tequila.

Afterwards, we will visit the town of Tequila, allowing for free time for lunch in local restaurants or markets, giving you a chance to experience the local gastronomy.

We will return to Guadalajara, arriving between 5 pm and 6 pm.

Visit to the Jose Cuervo Distillery

You can opt to visit the Jose Cuervo distillery, known as La Rojeña, instead of the previously mentioned distillery. This option will reduce your free time in Tequila.
