On this tour of Guadalajara, we'll explore the history of one of Mexico's oldest cities and its main monuments, along with a visit to the colonial town of Tlaquepaque.
Guadalajara & Tlaquepaque Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel and commence a panoramic tour of Guadalajara, visiting emblematic sites in Jalisco's capital.
Our first stop will be at the La Minerva roundabout, featuring a sculpture dedicated to the Roman goddess Minerva, a city symbol. Nearby, we'll also see the historic Arcos de Guadalajara.
Next, we will proceed to Avenida de Chapultepec, where remnants of an ancient aqueduct can be found, before heading to Calle Libertad, known for its 19th-century architecture.
We'll visit the Expiatory Temple of the Blessed Sacrament, a significant Gothic structure in Mexico, followed by a stroll through the historic center, seeing the Metropolitan Cathedral, Santos Degollado Theater, Cabañas Cultural Institute, and Plaza Liberación.
Afterward, we will travel to Tlaquepaque, where you will have 1.5 hours of free time for lunch and sightseeing. Options include visiting the 17th-century Church of San Pedro or exploring handicraft stores.
Before returning to Guadalajara, we will stop at a traditional sweets store for a taste of local treats. The excursion concludes with drop-off at your hotel in Guadalajara 7-8 hours after the initial pickup.
