Tour of Tonalá and Tlaquepaque
After picking you up in Guadalajara at the indicated time, we'll head to the nearby town of Tonalá. We'll learn about the history of this town and discover its main monuments, including the Parish of Santiago Apostol? and the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Tonalá is recognized as a famous artisan center.
During the tour, you'll admire crafted works made with blown glass, ceramics, and iron as we walk by its old colonial mansions. We'll also visit the street market of Tonalá, frequented by people from all over the region.
We will then drive to Tlaquepaque, known for its colonial architecture and quality wood and leather handicrafts. As we stroll through the cobblestone streets and browse the craft stalls, we'll learn about the history of this municipality founded in 1530.
We'll visit some workshops where artisans make their products and learn about their craft. Then, you'll have free time to stroll around Tlaquepaque and have lunch at a local restaurant at your leisure.
After lunch, we'll return to Guadalajara, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel 6 to 7 hours after pickup.
