Day Trip to Tequila

At the agreed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Guadalajara and head to Tequila. After an hour's drive, we'll reach this town, the birthplace of Mexico's most famous drink!

First, we'll explore the beautiful agave fields that surround Tequila. We'll learn about the cultivation and harvesting of this plant. Additionally, we'll see the Tequila volcano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site noted for its diverse climate and vegetation.

Next, we'll visit a tequila distillery. Here, we'll learn about the history of tequila and the stages of its production, from agave harvesting to aging in oak barrels. The tour concludes with a tequila tasting featuring authentic Mexican tequila.

Afterwards, we'll visit the town of Tequila, where you'll have free time for lunch in local restaurants or markets to enjoy the local gastronomy in this colonial town.

Finally, we'll return to Guadalajara, arriving between 5 pm and 6 pm.

Visit to the Jose Cuervo Distillery

You may opt to visit the prestigious Jose Cuervo distillery, known as La Rojeña, instead of the distillery mentioned in the itinerary. Selecting this option will reduce your free time in Tequila to accommodate this visit.
