Visit the famous End of the World Viewpoint and explore the Alhama and Fardes valleys on our Granada Geopark Jeep Tour. We'll also visit the medieval fortresses of Covarrones and Tía Micaela and spend a few hours in the most beautiful natural areas around Guadix.

Granada Geopark Jeep Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Plaza de la Constitución in Guadix where the jeeps will be waiting. We'll start exploring the mountains and rock formations in the Granada Geopark and the valleys of Alhama and Fardes.

Before leaving Guadix, we'll stop in the cave district to see the dwellings carved out of the clay hills.

After taking photos, we'll head to Purullena to visit the End of the World Viewpoint, located atop a plateau in the Alhama River Valley. This observation point offers views of the Sierra Nevada and the badlands of the Guadix region while we explain its transformation over the centuries.

The tour will continue to the Marchal Ravine, a natural monument featuring peculiar rock formations sculpted by wind and water erosion.

One of the last stops will be at the Covarrones and Tía Micaela Visitor Centre, significant for its use as a refuge by the Amazighs during the medieval period. We will discuss its history as we explore the different sections of the cave.

Afterwards, we'll admire the views of the Fardes River Valley as we return to Guadix.

We'll conclude our tour after a total of 4 hours back at the starting point.
