Guaduas Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Calle 4 to delve into the history and main monuments of Guaduas. The tour includes walking and minibus rides to see the whole town.
We'll explore the year 1572 to discover how Guaduas was founded and its ties to the Crown of Spain, noting its significance as a crossing point between Bogotá and Honda, including ruins of the old Camino Real.
During the walk, we will visit Constitution Square, the Cathedral of San Miguel Arcángel, Casa Consistorial, and the monument to Galán, leader of the 'comuneros' rebellion. We will discuss this revolt while exploring the Policarpa Salavarrieta House, where the heroine of Colombian independence known as 'La Pola' lived.
The tour will also include the convent of La Soledad, established in 1610, which became the region's spiritual center for two centuries, visited by notable figures such as Simón Bolívar.
After three hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude the tour at the starting point.
