Guaduas Tour

At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Calle 4 to explore the history and main monuments of Guaduas. The tour will combine walking and minibus rides for an overview of the town.

We'll travel back to the year 1572 to discover Guaduas's foundation and its connections to the Crown of Spain, including its significance as a crossing point between Bogotá and Honda. We will view the ruins of the old Camino Real.

As we walk through Guaduas we will see spots such as the Constitution Square, the Cathedral of San Miguel Arcángel, the Casa Consistorial, and the monument to Galán, leader of the 'comuneros' rebellion. Details of this historic revolt will be discussed as we explore the Policarpa Salavarrieta House, where the heroine of Colombian independence, known as 'La Pola', lived.

The tour will proceed to the convent of La Soledad, established in 1610, which served as a spiritual center for two centuries, visited by notable pilgrims including Simón Bolívar.

After three hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude the tour of Guaduas by returning to the starting point.
