On this tour of Porto Alegre, we'll explore the city's main historical and cultural attractions in one day, ending with a sunset at Cais Embarcadero.
Best of Porto Alegre Tour
We will pick you up at your hotel in Porto Alegre at 9:30 am to start the tour, combining walking and minibus routes. The first stop will be the Moinhos de Vento neighborhood, home to Dmae Park, known for its gardens reminiscent of the Palace of Versailles.
Next, we will explore Cidade Baixa, recognized for its bars and vibrant youth scene, before visiting Farroupilha Park (also called Parque da Redenção) where locals gather to drink mate.
We will provide an hour and a half of free time for lunch before visiting the historic center of Porto Alegre. Highlights include the public market, municipal library, Plaza Alfândega, and iconic sites such as Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana and São Pedro Theatre, along with the Cathedral and Palacio Piratini.
The tour concludes with a visit to Cais Embarcadero, where we will enjoy a sunset before finishing the tour at 7 pm and returning to your hotel.
