Visit one of the most important pilgrimage centres in Mexico with this tour to the beautiful Cerro de Cubilete and the Cristo Rey monument from Guanajuato.

Cerro del Cubilete & Cristo Rey Monument Tour

After picking you up from your hotel in Guanajuato at the scheduled time, we'll drive to the famous Cerro del Cubilete. At this viewpoint, we will visit the sanctuary built at the foot of the statue of Christ the King, or Cristo Rey. Inside the sanctuary, we will see several works of art before viewing the iconic Cristo Rey monument, a large sculpture of Jesus Christ on a sphere representing the universe.

We will explain the meanings of the offerings from the angels at his feet and other key facts during the tour, including the monument's bomb damage during the Mexican Revolution. Finally, we will enjoy views of El Bajio de Guanajuato from 2,600 meters above sea level.

Before concluding, we'll explore the natural area, visit handicraft stalls, and, if desired, taste some local snacks. The tour lasts 3 hours, after which we will drop you off back in Guanajuato.
