On this private tour of the Mineral de Pozos, we'll learn about the history of the gold and silver farms that made this Magic Town famous, including visits to the ruins of colonial estates and old smelting ovens.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Guanajuato and travel by minibus to Mineral de Pozos. The journey will take approximately 2 hours.

Upon arrival, we will visit the Santa Brígida mine, known for its 18th-century silver-smelting ovens built by the Jesuit order.

Next, we will explore the Cinco Señores mines, where old tunnels and the ruins of an opulent colonial estate can be seen. This area is known for its gold and silver farms.

Following this, we'll visit the former El Triángulo estate, notable for its connection to Mexican president Porfirio Díaz and its cactus garden.

Close to the historical center, we will see the old school of Mineral de Pozos, which currently houses an exhibition on the town's history and a collection of contemporary Mexican art.
