Discover the origins of the popular Chinese city as you explore its symbolic landmarks, including the Huangpu ancient trading port, General Sun Yat-sen Memorial, Beijing Road shopping area, and Yuexiu Park, the largest park in the city.
Private Guangzhou History Tour
The tour starts at 9 am with a pickup from your hotel, followed by a drive to the Huangpu old port, a significant trading hub in China. Upon arrival in Huangpu, we will visit its history museum to learn about the Silk Road and the Opium trade. We'll also visit Pak Tai Temple known for its large incense sticks.
Next, we will proceed to Lychee Bay, which was restored after disappearing due to industrialization. We will walk along its bridges, including the 57-meter long Longjing Bridge, and view the Wen Tower from the Qing Dynasty.
Afterward, we will explore the Beijing Road Ancient Avenue, covering 1,500 meters, and enjoy a lunch stop at a local restaurant featuring Cantonese cuisine (meal not included).
Post-lunch, we will visit Yuexiu Park, spanning 86 hectares with lakes and monuments like The Legend of the Five Goats statue. Finally, the tour will conclude at the General Sun Yat-sen Memorial Museum, honoring the founder of the first Chinese Republic, followed by a stroll through the gardens and a visit to his statue. The tour ends with a return to your hotel around 5 pm.
