Discover the origins of the popular Chinese city. The Guangzhou history tour will explore landmarks including the Huangpu ancient trading port, the General Sun Yat-sen Memorial, the Beijing Road shopping area, and Yuexiu Park.

Private Guangzhou History Tour

At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and drive to the Huangpu old port, historically significant for Guangzhou's trading prominence. Upon arrival, we'll visit the history museum to learn about the Silk Road and the Opium trade. The visit will also include Pak Tai Temple, known for its large incense sticks.

Next, we'll go to Lychee Bay, restored in 2010 after being lost due to industrial development. We'll walk along the bridges, including Longjing Bridge, and view the Wen Tower.

We will then walk along the Beijing Road Ancient Avenue, one of Guangzhou's oldest commercial areas at 1,500 meters. A lunch break will follow in a local restaurant, where you can try Cantonese cuisine (meal not included).

After lunch, we will explore Yuexiu Park, covering 86 hectares with lakes, museums, and monuments like The Legend of the Five Goats statue. Finally, we will visit the General Sun Yat-sen Memorial Museum to learn about his contributions to modern China, concluding with a visit to the statue in his honor before returning to your hotel at around 5 pm.
