Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Luís de Camões Square to begin our journey to Belmonte. Ready?

After approximately 30 minutes, we'll arrive at our destination and begin to notice the medieval vibe of the streets of this Portuguese town, which was home to a large Jewish community. We'll make our way to the first stop, the Centum Cellas Tower, which holds years of myths and legends of the town's origin.

Afterwards, we'll visit the Museum of Discoveries, which has an interactive room that explains how the Portugal we know and love today came to be. Following this, we'll go to the Olive Oil Museum, where we'll learn about the great importance of this product in the region.

We'll then pass by the famous Belmonte Castle until we reach the Zêzere Ecomuseum, which traces the history of the birth of the Zêzere River, from source to mouth.

Lastly, we'll visit the Santiago Church and the Cabrais Pantheon, which form parts of a National Monument. The blend of Gothic and Romanesque architecture will surprise you!

Finally, we'll say our goodbyes at the point where the tour began in Guarda after 3 or 4 hours together.
