San Rafael Coffee Tour

In this coffee tour in San Rafael, we'll visit a coffee farm to learn step by step how this intense and aromatic product, famous all over the world, is produced.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Calle 32 in Guatapé and go to a coffee farm located in the San Rafael area.

Upon arrival, we'll walk a 5-kilometre trail (3.1 miles) to the farm. There, we'll be welcomed with a drink before starting the tour through the hacienda, where we'll discover all the steps involved in preparing intense Colombian coffee.

The tour begins with a visit to the coffee plantation, where we will see how the plants are planted and cultivated. We'll spend about 20 minutes observing the harvesting process and will have the opportunity to pick coffee beans ourselves.

Next, we'll proceed to the washing, drying, and then roasting. Once the beans are roasted, they undergo the threshing process and are subsequently ground. The produced coffee powder will be packaged, and some will be used to make a coffee-based drink for tasting at the end of the tour, allowing you to experience its intensity and flavor.

Finally, we'll walk back to the vehicle for our return to Guatapé, with arrival scheduled 4 hours after pickup.
