A full day of history, culture and nature await on this day trip to Bayaguana from Juan Dolio. Discover a typical Dominican town and all of its traditions.

Bayaguana Day Trip

From 8 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Juan Dolio. We'll then set off by bus to discover the history of the region and the town of Bayaguana.

We'll take the road from Santo Domingo to San Pedro de Macoris, admiring typical Dominican villages along the way. At 9:30 am, we'll stop at a sugar cane field, see the crops and taste freshly cut sugar cane.

Afterwards, we'll head to the Santo Cristo de Bayaguana Church, over 400 years old. Later, we'll explore the local market to learn about local products and typical dishes.

We'll then visit an artisan cigar factory to learn about tobacco processing. We'll also visit a school and a local house to understand the area's customs and traditions.

At around 12:30 pm, we'll arrive at the Salto Alto Waterfalls for a swim and relaxation. Afterwards, we'll go to Rancho Salto Alto for a Dominican buffet lunch.

At the end of the day trip, we'll return to Juan Dolio and drop you off at your hotel at 5 pm.
