A full day of history, culture and nature await on this day trip to Bayaguana from Juan Dolio. Discover a typical Dominican town and all of its traditions.

Bayaguana Day Trip

From 8 am, hotel pickup will commence in Juan Dolio. Departing by bus, we will explore the history of the region and the town of Bayaguana.

The route will take us from Santo Domingo to San Pedro de Macoris, with a stop at a sugar cane field at 9:30 am for a taste of freshly cut sugar cane.

Following this, we will visit the Santo Cristo de Bayaguana Church, more than 400 years old, and explore the local market to learn about regional products and typical dishes.

Next, the itinerary includes a visit to an artisan cigar factory to understand tobacco processing, as well as a trip to a local school and home to gain insight into local customs.

At approximately 12:30 pm, we will arrive at the Salto Alto Waterfalls for a refreshing swim and relaxation. A Dominican buffet lunch will follow at Rancho Salto Alto.

Finally, we will return to Juan Dolio, arriving back at your hotel by 5 pm.
