Bayaguana Day Trip

A full day of history, culture and nature await on this day trip to Bayaguana from Juan Dolio. Discover a typical Dominican town and all of its traditions.

Bayaguana Day Trip

From 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Juan Dolio. We will then set off by bus to explore the history of the region and the town of Bayaguana.

We will travel from Santo Domingo to San Pedro de Macoris, admiring Dominican villages along the way. At 9:30 am, we will stop at a sugar cane field to see the crops and taste fresh sugar cane.

Following this, we will visit the Santo Cristo de Bayaguana Church, which is over 400 years old. We will then head to the local market to learn about local products and typical dishes.

We will visit an artisan cigar factory to understand the treatment of the tobacco plant and its transformation. Additionally, we will visit a school and a local house to explore area's customs and traditions.

At around 12:30 pm, we will arrive at the Salto Alto Waterfalls for a refreshing swim in a natural environment. Afterwards, we will enjoy a Dominican buffet lunch at Rancho Salto Alto.

At the end of the day trip, we will return to Juan Dolio and drop you off at your hotel at 5 pm.
