A full day of history, culture and nature await on this day trip to Bayaguana from Juan Dolio. Discover a typical Dominican town and its traditions.

Bayaguana Day Trip

From 8 am, pickup from your hotel in Juan Dolio will commence, followed by a bus journey to Bayaguana. The route will take us from Santo Domingo to San Pedro de Macoris, where at 9:30 am, a stop will be made at a sugar cane field to see the crops and taste freshly cut sugar cane.

Next, we will visit the Santo Cristo de Bayaguana Church, over 400 years old, followed by a stroll through the local market to explore local products and typical dishes.

We will also visit an artisan cigar factory to learn about the processing of tobacco. Additionally, a stop at a local school and house will offer insight into the area’s customs and traditions.

At approximately 12:30 pm, we will reach the Salto Alto Waterfalls for a swim and relaxation in a natural setting. Afterwards, lunch will be served at Rancho Salto Alto, featuring a Dominican buffet.

The day trip concludes with a return to Juan Dolio, where participants will be dropped off at their hotel by 5 pm.
