Your day begins at 9 am with a pickup from your hotel in Juan Dolio, where you'll board a safari truck ready for an exciting excursion through the Dominican Republic's sugar cane fields.

We'll traverse the southern region of the island, overcoming bumpy and rugged paths that lead us to the sugar cane plantations surrounding the charming village of Benérito. In addition to soaking in the stunning rural vistas, you will also stop at a weighing station, where you can sample fresh sugar cane directly from the fields.

Next, we will visit a nearby batey to gain insight into the daily life of local residents. Our journey continues to the city of Higüey, where you'll have the chance to see the meticulous process of Dominican cigar production at a certified organic tobacco factory.

Following a stroll through the vibrant Higüey market, which features a plethora of tropical fruits, we'll step inside the Basilica of the Virgin of Altagracia, the city's most significant religious landmark. We’ll then take a moment to savor a delightful typical Dominican lunch.

The highlight of your day will be a scenic boat ride along the Chavón River. Aboard a traditional vessel, you'll be captivated by the breathtaking natural surroundings where you might encounter iguanas, exotic birds, and a variety of lush plant life. Make sure to have your camera on hand!

Finally, we will return to the safari truck and make our way back to Juan Dolio, arriving at around 5 pm to conclude the day's adventures.
