The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Juan Dolio at 9 am. Participants will board safari trucks for an adventure through the sugar cane plantations in the Dominican Republic.

The journey involves navigating through rough terrain to reach the sugar cane plantations near the village of Benérito. The tour includes a visit to a weighing station where participants can taste locally-grown sugar cane.

Next, the itinerary proceeds to a nearby village, or batey, to explore local life. The tour continues to the city of Higüey, featuring a visit to an organic tobacco factory where Dominican cigars are made.

After a stroll through the market of Higüey to discover tropical fruits, participants will visit the Basilica of the Virgin of Altagracia, the most significant church in the city. A typical Dominican lunch will follow.

The tour culminates with a boat trip on the Chavón River, offering an opportunity to enjoy the natural environment and observe iguanas, exotic birds, and diverse plants.

Finally, participants will return to the safari truck for the journey back to Juan Dolio, arriving at hotels by 5 pm.
