Santo Domingo City Tour
Between 7 am and 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Juan Dolio to take you to Santo Domingo.
We'll first visit Tres Ojos National Park to explore its cave and freshwater lake. Next, we will pass by the Columbus Lighthouse, believed to hold the remains of Christopher Columbus. We'll also stop at the exterior of the Presidential Palace before proceeding to a local restaurant for a buffet lunch featuring dishes such as rice, meat stew, and beans.
After lunch, our guided tour will cover the colonial area of Santo Domingo, including a visit to the temple of Santa María de la Encarnación, known as Catedral Primada de América. We will explore Plaza de España and the Alcázar de Colón, and then continue to Las Damas Avenue, passing the National Pantheon and the Church of the Jesuits.
We'll stroll through the Colonial area, with time for shopping or coffee at local spots. Finally, we'll head to the Malecón for a view of the Caribbean Sea before returning to Juan Dolio, with arrival around 5 pm.
