Join us on an adventure through the Andean mountains on our Cajas National Park Hiking Activity. We'll set off from Guayaquil and spend the day exploring this beautiful natural area.

Cajas National Park Hiking Activity

Good morning! We'll pick you up at 6:30 am from your hotel in Guayaquil and set off on our trip to the Cajas National Park in the Andes Mountains. When we get there, we'll embark on a 4-hour hiking activity.

We'll navigate the García Moreno trail to observe the divided waters, where some flow towards the Amazon and others to the Pacific Ocean. Legend has it that many hikers have tried to camp here but didn't survive the cold nights.

Next, we'll ascend to an altitude of over 6,560 feet (2,000 metres), appreciating the misty forests, moorlands, and the Chorro de Plata Waterfall, which features nearly 300 feet (90 metres) of cascading water. We'll also see medicinal plants and discuss their healing properties.

During our hike, we'll walk among ferns, orchids, and mosses, and if fortunate, spot caracaras, hummingbirds, toucans, and the Andean condor. After covering around 6 miles (10 kilometres), we'll return to the starting point.

It'll then be time to head back to your hotel in Guayaquil, where we'll drop you off at 2:30 pm.
