We will pick you up at Avenida Isidro Ayora Cueva at 3 am and start a four and a half hour minibus ride to the Chimborazo Volcano.

Standing at 20,000 feet, the Chimborazo is the highest peak in Ecuador. The snowy summit and wildlife make this one of the most visited natural attractions in the country.

Upon reaching the first refuge, we will begin the ascent to the Chimborazo crater. During the hike, you may spot llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas. The landscape will transition as we gain altitude. We will reach the second refuge, where you can photograph the amazing scenery.

After descending from the Chimborazo volcano, we will visit the Colta lagoon, offering a picturesque Andean landscape. We will discuss the indigenous gatherings that occur on its shores. Finally, we will visit the church of Balbanera, the oldest Catholic temple in Ecuador.

After lunch, we will return to Guayaquil with hotel arrival scheduled at 3 pm.
