Cuenca Day Trip

Join us on our day trip to Cuenca and explore the beauty of a city known as the Athens of Ecuador. We'll set off from Guayaquil and spend the day touring this World Heritage City.

Cuenca Day Trip

We will pick you up at 6 am from your hotel in Guayaquil and head to Cuenca. Upon arrival, we will begin a guided tour to discover its main sights.

We will stroll through the colonial-era neighbourhood of San Sebastian and visit the Municipal Museum of Modern Art to admire contemporary works of art. Then we will walk through the Plazuela de las Flores and Abdón Calderón Squares, surrounded by the old cathedral and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, a neo-Gothic structure that took 100 years to build.

Next, we will enter a toquilla straw hat factory to see how this iconic symbol of Ecuador is made, recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We will then head to El Barranco and enjoy views of the city from the Turi viewpoint.

For lunch, we will provide a meal that includes a main course and a drink. Following lunch, we will take a guided tour of the La Paz craft brewery to learn about the brewing process and the German Purity Law of 1516, with tastings of some beers. We will conclude our trip by returning to Guayaquil and dropping you off at your hotel at 4 pm.
