Cuenca Day Trip

Join us on our day trip to Cuenca and explore the beauty of a city known as the Athens of Ecuador. We'll set off from Guayaquil and spend the day touring this World Heritage City.

Cuenca Day Trip

We will pick you up at 6 am from your hotel in Guayaquil and head to Cuenca. Upon arrival, we will start a guided tour to discover the main sights.

The tour begins with a stroll through the colonial-era neighbourhood of San Sebastian and a visit to the Municipal Museum of Modern Art to view engravings, paintings, and contemporary works of art.

Next, we will walk through the Plazuela de las Flores and Abdón Calderón Squares, surrounded by the old cathedral and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, an impressive neo-Gothic building that took 100 years to complete, with domes inspired by St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican.

We will visit a toquilla straw hat factory to see how this Ecuadorian symbol is made and learn why it is an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Afterwards, we will head to El Barranco to enjoy views from the Turi viewpoint.

A lunch including a main course and a drink will be provided. Following lunch, we will take a guided tour of the La Paz craft brewery to learn about beer brewing and the German Purity Law of 1516, culminating in a tasting of beers from cask and bottles.

We will return to Guayaquil and drop you off at your hotel at 4 pm.
