Join us on an enriching excursion to Cuenca, a city often referred to as the Athens of Ecuador. Departing from Guayaquil, this day trip invites you to discover the remarkable charm of a designated World Heritage City.

Your adventure begins with a 6 am pickup from your hotel in Guayaquil, as we make our way to the captivating city of Cuenca. Upon arrival, a guided tour awaits to unveil its most iconic attractions.

Our journey commences with a leisurely walk through the historic San Sebastian neighborhood, where we will visit the Municipal Museum of Modern Art. Here, you can appreciate a collection of engravings, paintings, sculptures, and impressive contemporary artworks.

Next, we will wander through the picturesque Plazuela de las Flores and Abdón Calderón Squares, both framed by the old cathedral and the magnificent Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. This neo-Gothic architectural marvel took a century to complete, its stunning domes inspired by St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.

Our tour continues with a visit to a toquilla straw hat factory, where you will learn about the crafting of this emblematic Ecuadorian artifact, recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Before leaving, we will make our way to the El Barranco area, where the breathtaking views from the Turi viewpoint await.

If you're starting to feel hungry, we will enjoy a delicious lunch featuring a main dish and a drink. Afterward, get ready for an engaging experience at the La Paz craft brewery, where a guided tour reveals the beer brewing process and the history behind the German Purity Law of 1516. Your visit will conclude with a tasting session of freshly brewed beers from both cask and bottles.

As the day winds down, we will return to Guayaquil, arriving back at your hotel by 4 pm.
