Join us on our day trip to Cuenca and explore the beauty of a city known as the Athens of Ecuador. We'll set off from Guayaquil and spend the day touring this World Heritage City.

Cuenca Day Trip

Having picked you up at 6 am from your hotel in Guayaquil, we'll head to Cuenca. Upon arrival, a guided tour will take you through the city’s main sights.

First, we will visit the colonial-era neighbourhood of San Sebastian and the Municipal Museum of Modern Art, showcasing engravings, paintings, sculptures, and contemporary artworks.

Next, we will walk through the Plazuela de las Flores and Abdón Calderón Squares, near the old cathedral and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, a neo-Gothic structure that took 100 years to complete, inspired by St. Peter's Basilica.

We will then visit a toquilla straw hat factory to learn how this Ecuadorian symbol is made and its significance as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Afterward, we will admire the city views from the Turi viewpoint in El Barranco.

For lunch, a meal including a main course and a drink will be provided. After eating, we will tour the La Paz craft brewery to learn about brewing and the German Purity Law of 1516, concluding with a tasting of beers.

Finally, we will return to Guayaquil, dropping you off at your hotel by 4 pm.
