Be seduced by one of the most incredible landscapes of Ecuador: the Quilotoa lagoon. Enjoy a unique view of the volcanic caldera from the Shalala viewpoint!

Quilotoa Trip

We will pick you up at 2 am in Guayaquil and board a minibus to Quilotoa, in the province of Cotopaxi. This area showcases incredible natural beauty resulting from its volcanic past. The caldera offers breathtaking views.

Crossing the Toachi canyon, we will arrive at one of the impressive lakes of the Andes. The Quilotoa lagoon, about 2 miles in diameter, was formed by an eruption of an Andean volcano over eight centuries ago, creating a natural jewel of Ecuador.

After enjoying the lagoon's views from various angles, we will head to the Shalala viewpoint for a stunning panorama. Bring your camera as we share insights on the area's geology.

On the return trip, we will stop by the Toachi River to appreciate the view of the pine forest. Afterward, we will continue back to Guayaquil, arriving at 8 pm.
