Excursion to Puerto El Morro with Dolphin Observation
Your adventure begins at 8:30 am, with a pick-up from Isidro Ayora Cueva Avenue as we make our way south to Puerto El Morro, a serene mangrove locale located just 90 minutes from Guayaquil.
Upon arrival, we will board boats to explore this protected ecosystem, spanning over 10,000 hectares. During our journey, we will share insights into the remarkable biodiversity surrounding us, highlighting some of the notable avian species, including frigatebirds, pelicans, and pink herons.
As we glide through the mangroves, you will have the chance to see the iconic bottlenose dolphins. Discover the origin of their name while observing them up close, as it is common for pods of dolphins to swim alongside our vessel, offering an incredible chance to experience these graceful cetaceans from a mere stone’s throw away.
Following our exploration, we will return to shore where you will have some leisure time to browse the local handicraft shops in Puerto El Morro. In the afternoon, we will journey back to Guayaquil, aiming to arrive around 4:30 pm.
