Sail through the Gabriel and Galán Reservoir and then explore a ghost town on the Granadilla boat trip. Discover one of the mysterious locations in the Spanish region of Extremadura and see the Castle of Alba.
Boat Trip to Granadilla
At the scheduled time, go to the Centro Internacional de Innovación Deportiva-El Anillo and board a boat for a trip on the Gabriel y Galán Reservoir.
During the 30-minute boat trip, enjoy the scenery and look for local bird species. Upon arrival in Granadilla, you will have 2.5 hours to explore this medieval walled village independently. This ghost town was a filming location for the Spanish film Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! directed by Pedro Almódovar.
Granadilla became uninhabited in the mid-20th century due to a flood warning from construction activities on the reservoir. Explore this Historic-Artistic Site and view notable buildings such as the town hall, the Church of the Assumption, and Granadilla Castle, dating back to the 15th century.
Afterward, return to the boat and head back to the starting point, concluding the adventure in a total of 3.5 hours.
