Shore Excursion to Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee

On this tour to Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee, we will follow in the footsteps of Jesus in the Holy Land and visit significant sites like the Mount of Beatitudes, Yardenit, and Joseph's old carpentry workshop, suitable for those docked in Haifa.

Shore Excursion to Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee

We will meet at the Haifa cruise port at the established time and board a bus to Nazareth. The journey takes about an hour, during which we will enjoy sights of Israel's northern countryside.

The first stop will be the Church of the Annunciation, traditionally recognized as the site where the archangel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would bear Jesus. Following that, we will visit the church of St. Joseph, where a 1st-century grotto, considered to be Joseph's carpenter workshop, is located. Nearby is Mary's well.

Next, we will explore the Mount of Beatitudes, known for its stunning views of the Sea of Galilee and believed to be where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount.

We will then proceed to the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish, which commemorates a famous miracle of Jesus. After this, we will visit the biblical city of Capernaum, historically a fishing town possibly linked to Saint Peter.

You will have an hour of free time for lunch before we visit Yardenit, where there may be an opportunity for baptism in the Jordan River if time allows.

After a nine-hour excursion, we will return to the cruise port.
