Description
We will convene at 1675 Lower Water Street in Halifax before departing southward.
After approximately an hour's drive, our destination, Peggy's Cove, awaits—renowned as one of the most enchanting coastal locales in Nova Scotia. Upon arrival, we will stroll towards the lighthouse, which holds the title of being the most famous and photographed along the Eastern Canadian Coast.
Of the 160 historical lighthouses in Nova Scotia, the structure at Peggy's Cove is particularly renowned for drawing visitors. We will delve into the key reasons behind its appeal before continuing our journey through the quaint fishing village. We will take in the sights around its harbour and discover the region's maritime traditions.
As we walk, stunning vistas of the Atlantic Ocean will greet us from the Peggy's Point viewpoint. Additionally, we'll visit notable attractions, including the William deGarthe Art Gallery.
To conclude our day in Peggy's Cove, we will retrace our steps back to Halifax, arriving at our initial meeting point roughly 3.5 hours after our departure.
