Day 1: El Djem – Matmata – Douz

You will be picked up from your hotel in Hammamet and head to the El Djem amphitheater, the third-largest amphitheater in the world, which could hold up to 30,000 spectators. After learning about gladiator stories, the tour proceeds to the Matmata cave-houses in the Amazigh area, where you will have approximately one hour of free time for lunch at a local restaurant (not included).

Next, travel into the Douz desert, the gateway to the Sahara. Here, you may try a quad bike or camel ride for an additional fee. Following this adventure, you will stay overnight at a hotel in Douz.

Day 2: Douz – Chott Djerid – Oasis - Kairouan

After breakfast (not included), visit Chott El Djerid, Tunisia's great salt lake, which spans 250 kilometers (155 miles). The tour continues to the mountain oasis of Chebika and Tamerza, with the final stop at Kairouan, Islam's fourth holy city. Here, you will visit the Great Mosque to learn about its significance in Islam. The tour will conclude with your return to the hotel in Hammamet.

Tickets for museums and monuments during the trip must be paid at the ticket office, totaling about 15EUR.The camel ride lasts one hour and costs 15EUR per person; the quad ride lasts 45 minutes and costs 25EUR per person.
