When booking, you can select from the following options, all including hotel pickup and drop-off, tuk-tuk transport, an English-speaking guide, entrance fees, a snack, and a bottle of water.

Tuk Tuk Tour (4 hours)

After meeting at your hotel in Haputale, the journey will begin to a famous tea plantation. The history of tea in Sri Lanka dates back over 200 years. During the tour, you will see the Lipton black tea plantations and observe workers picking leaves, with an opportunity to pick some yourself. A snack break will follow before returning to your hotel.

Tuk Tuk Tour + Cooking Class (7 hours)

This option includes the tea plantation tour and a cooking class. After touring the plantations, you will travel by tuk-tuk to a private house to learn to prepare traditional dishes of the area using local ingredients. Upon completing the cooking, you will taste the prepared dishes.

Tuk Tuk Tour + Tea Factory Visit (7 hours)

This option includes visiting a tea factory in addition to the plantation tour. Following the visit to the Lipton plantations, you will take a 3-mile (5 km) walk to the factory, where you will learn about tea production. After the factory visit, a 3-mile (5 km) hike will lead back for a light picnic lunch before returning to your hotel.
