Bodegas Bilbains. Haro (La Rioja)

He imagined it – and made it happen – Santiago de Ugarte in 1901. Since then it has grown to become a saint and a sign of Rioja wine. Located in several historical buildings, Bodegas Bilbains de Haro is the history of wine. Through their different stays, of their explanted vast, they can smell, breathe and taste the most exquisite broths.

From their grapes come magical wines that make the delights of lovers of this drink and that make lovers who are not yet. Viña Pomal Crianza Selection 500 is the crown jewel, but also Viña Zaco, Ederra, La Vicalanda and Cava Royal Carlton. Many vintages have passed since birth. A lot of experience in the backs of this historic winery.

In the visit you can see the vineyard, the craft, the breeding in barrels, the winery and the underground limestones. There are tastings, own shop and Wine bar. At the request of customers you can organize tastings, picnics in the vineyard or meals. Whether or not, a wine lover, it is worth visiting this winery that can be proud to be the largest vineyard area in Haro.

It is a 40-minute drive from Logroño, 25 from Miranda de Ebro and 35 from Vitoria. In a natural enclave that lives from the wine, surrounded by other wineries. An excellent place to make winemaking. That's right, we have to start with the best, and that's the 2017 Haro Bilbains Bodegas (La Rioja).

The visit includes:
- route through the facilities of the winery: the underground decals (the largest on the surface of La Rioja, 3.400 m2), the breeding rooms, the vineyard, the winery icon, the old winery of 1859.
- Degustación de tres vinos: Viña Pomal Crianza Selección 500, Viña Pomal Reserva (roble Americana) y la Vicalanda Reserva (roble francés). The tasting is done during the winery tour with a bag and a drink. The bag and the cup carry the logo of the winery and are gifted to the visitor.

From Tuesday to Saturdays: at 11:00 or at 12:00h (according to availability).
Sundays: at 12:00

- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Children under the age of 8 may not have access to the visit, being able to stay in the shop or in the garden, always accompanied by an adult of the group.
- The punctuality is appreciated in the winery 15 minutes before the start of the visit. The visit will begin on time at the concerted time. After 10 minutes of the start time, it will not be possible to add to the group.

IMPORTANT: Once the reservation is made it cannot be cancelled. However, you can change the date of the visit up to 2 months, if you notify up to 48 hours in advance.
