Learn about the Cuban Revolution with this tour of Havana, detailing the movement that led Fidel Castro to power.

Havana Walking Tour

We'll meet at 10 am by the José Martí statue in Central Park to begin the tour. The first stop is the Bacardi building, where we discuss its fate post-1959.

Next, we will pass a grocery store to discuss the country's food rationing and the relationship between the Cuban government and the Catholic Church, known as Operation Peter Pan, which saw over 14,000 children transported from Cuba to the United States.

Following this, we will visit the Museum of the Revolution, where we will see the Granma Yacht, used by Fidel Castro during the Bay of Pigs invasion. After leaving the museum, we will head to the Spanish Embassy and a primary school to learn about education on the island since the revolution.

The last notable site will be the National Capitol Building. After appreciating its architecture, we'll take a bus to the Plaza de la Revolución, a 20-minute journey during which we will share the history of this transport. In the plaza, we will view its iconic building featuring an image of Che Guevara, concluding the tour at 1 pm.
