During this visit to the National Capitol of Cuba in Havana, we will explore the interior of this significant building.
Description
At the scheduled time, we will meet at the steps of the National Capitol of Cuba in Havana to begin our exploration. The National Capitol is one of the most representative buildings in Cuba and will welcome us with its grand entrance. Inside, we will visit the Hall of the Lost Steps.
As we walk through the building, we will observe the ornate decorations and impressive stained glass windows. We will discuss its recent restoration and its significance as the highest representation of political power in Cuba.
Next, we will admire The Republic, an 18-metre tall bronze statue representing Athena, which is the third tallest indoor statue in the world. Our tour will also include a visit to the Tomb of the Unknown Mambí, honoring a key guerilla fighter in the Cuban independence struggle. Additionally, we will explore the furniture decoration done by a prestigious London-based company.
After 3 hours, we will conclude the tour back at the starting point.
